Default icon set for mobile websites

Icons are an essential part of the navigation and user experience on mobile websites. Recurring visitors scan menu's for certain shapes or colors in order to find the correct menu item they have seen before:
Creating or finding icons costs time. As a result, many mobile website started without icons for a while. The visual structure of menu label and icon was lost and the menu became visualy unclear. As a solution all menu items now have a default icon, based on the content type:
There are seperate icons for pages, news, blog-items, calendar-items and forms.
